Our goal for this Uganda visit was to check on the progress of our water project💧 If you missed the exciting news, WE DRILLED A WATER WELL IN JULY!!! 🙌 Since then, our water tower has been constructed, and we are now awaiting the installation of the water tank and community taps. Fun fact: When the water surveyor assessed the site in July, he initially estimated a potential yield of approximately 3,000 liters of water per day. BUT after drilling, they discovered the well has the potential to produce 7,000 liters… per HOUR! 🤯👏 A literal miracle! This water is life-changing for our students, orphans, and surrounding community. The well has provided access to clean water for drinking, cooking, washing, sanitation, and irrigating our farmland 🌱

Our water tower was installed by sheer manpower and sticks - surely nothing can surprise us now in Africa 🤯 We were praying the whole time that no one would get hurt. You can hear the relief in the cheers at the end!
My orphans love to go on daily runs with me! The little kids do .5 - 1 mile, and the older kids do 2-3 miles. It’s been fun to see their natural talent, and watch as they demonstrate resilience, confidence, and determination through running 💪 I’m so proud of all of them, but especially this 6 year old for crushing a MILE, barefoot!! 👏👏

Construction on our perimeter wall is nearly complete! Along the backside of the property is temporary fencing, as we plan to someday purchase the land behind us for our Senior School
Our verse of the week was Philippians 4:4 “Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!” The Bible promises that in this world we will have trouble, but we should take heart, because Jesus has overcome the world! John 16:33 Since we know that our hope is not in this earth, we can rejoice in the Lord, always, regardless of our circumstance.

Thank you @leahmercer_realtor for the baby dolls! Even the older boys were so excited to get a baby. We talked about family, and how God designed the family. Most of them have never known a real family, but our prayer is for this cycle to end with them ❤️

There is something so symbolic about water. Water represents life 💦 Thank you for bringing LIFE and HOPE to our school and orphanage in Uganda! The amount of excitement and energy on our campus today! This was an unplanned blessing, literally a miracle- in less than a week, you helped us raise $10,000 for the well. And we struck water on the first dig site! “Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us” Ephesians 3:20
Today was surreal! By the grace of God, and your generosity, we’ve drilled a water well at our school and orphanage in Uganda!! When the drill finally struck water, mud came shooting out of the earth, splattering all over us.
